Should She Bake a Pie or Make Pasta?

I just received this resin doll designed by Marcia Backstrom. When I saw the doll in Carol's Etsy shop, I knew that she would be perfect in either of two projects that I am making slow progress on. Maybe you can help me decide which project? Should the doll go into the summer kitchen scene (America 1900) and bake a pie? OR should she go into the Tuscan kitchen scene and make pasta fresca? What do you think?

  2. She sure looks like a happy grandma. She is someone you would want to know.:-) I think she is American and should go in the 1900's kitchen.

  5. I agree with the others, to me she would be perfect in a Tuscan kitchen. She is a very expressive doll, I can almost hear talk Italian.
    Great purchase

  7. I think Pasta :) She looks like she would be the noisy, bossy, respected and adored matriarch of a happy Italian/American family. Best of both worlds.

Miss 19 says definitely making pie but we both agree how wonderfully expressive she is!

  11. I think she should be baking a pie for her grandchildren. But if she lived here she'd be in my basement roombox folding laundry at the table! HA! She's wonderful!

  12. Watching carefully her expression, I think she might be an Italian who emigrated to America ... Therefore, it is very difficult to decide ... Perhaps more suitable for making pasta :-)

  13. Thank you for your generous feedback! I like the suggestion from Christine, Margaret and Flora... perhaps she will be an Italian American who has emigrated and she is busily preparing the pasta AND a pie (Grandmas always have a busy kitchen)!
